A Happy Chicken is a Free Range Chicken

The usual 30min travel time took me almost 2 hrs, not because of congested traffic but I did not find the farm's address where free range chickens are raised that easy. Being late for the appointment is not my forte and the smiling face of Raul added so much guilt, hahah! I will definitely take the easier route the next time I'll dropby.

Our conversation started with him asking me what do you want to eat, a happy chicken or a sad chicken? Do chicken developed emotions nowadays? What he meant was Free Range Chicken, those chicken who enjoy freedom chirping, roaming around, take probiotics and not antibiotics to prevent sickness, eat grass, fruits, leaves and other plants that can be found in the farm. Free Range Chicken tastes better than the conventional chicken (the white chick). That is his claim. It's for me to find out.

Coming back to my own farm of layers, I brought with me his notes. Comparing notes is fun! You'll learn new techniques, old techniques that can be still useful when creative mind starts to think, even the same experiences when we talked about the trabahadors, their loyalty and betrayal. Today, my visit to Chickenlandia is far more enthusiastic than before maybe because of the new opportunity that I have seen and considering to start. Chickenlandia is now the home of  Happy Chicken.
